Dr. Mariam Razaq is a board certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician. She focuses on providing her patients with an integrative health care plan that includes elements of exercise, lifestyle awareness, nutrition, and pain management. She has trained extensively under Dr. Victor Ibrahim in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound technology as a diagnostic tool, as well as for guided regenerative medicine injections.
Dr. Razaq currently maintains an independent practice in Waldorf, Maryland. She is a firm proponent of integrative and holistic medicine, and relies heavily on her osteopathic training. She firmly believes that each patient deserves compassion and to be treated as an equal partner in their health care journey.
Dr. Razaq graduated from Binghamton University (SUNY at Binghamton) and received her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing her intern year at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York, she moved on to Georgetown University Hospital, completing her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Razaq then transitioned into private practice, where she has worked the last several years. She has stayed current with cutting-edge technologies in order to bring her patients the best that medicine has to offer, in terms of diagnosis and minimally invasive treatments.
Dr. Razaq resides in Virginia with her husband and her five energetic boys! In addition to her professional career, she enjoys spending time with her family and staying active with her yoga and spin classes.
